When I was old enough to form sentences, I was always making up stories as a way to entertain myself, my friends, and my family. It never occurred to me until I was posed with the question of a possible major that I even considered pursuing a career in writing and editing. Through Wright-Patt and the flexible loans I received, my credit union made it possible for my to study what I love, while remaining stress-free about how I need to pay for my education. I’ve grown exponentially in my academic and creative life, and I owe it to the experiences I’ve had and the people I’ve met. Without going to college, or being able to afford college, I would have never gotten an opportunity to pursue my dreams of writing. Now, I am free to follow my heart and the stories I want to tell, wherever they may take me.
